The History Center welcomes all levels of Boy and Girl Scouts, and works with Scout organizations to offer special programs. We also offer group tours, badges, and patch activities.
Our Scout badge and patch programs are self-guided experiences. Depending upon the Scout's age level, the leaders and parents may need to participate. A non-refundable payment is required with reservations three weeks prior to the event.
SCOUT OUT DAYS: Jan. 15 and May 14, 2011
The History Center is offering TWO patches for Boy and Girl Scouts of any age. Scouts are invited to work on the Heinz History Center and Innovators patches.
The Heinz History Center patch teaches scouts about the life and work of Senator John Heinz and the history of the History Center building. The Innovators patch encourages scouts to look at Pittsburgh's important discoveries and progress in areas such as technology, industry, and medicine.
Both patches use exhibits and activities for scouts to discover more about their city and the people in it! These two patches are provided by the History Center.
